Dance Academy Star Dena Amy Kaplan revealed that she survived a horrible car accident and saw her car flip and fall off the embankment.
Born in South Africa but living in Australia, the 36-year-old recalls her incident School of Life podcast.
She said she drove home from the retreat at night when she lost control of the car on the curve, but insisted she was not speeding.

“I had a huge car accident at the time. I was miraculously fine,” she said.
She explained: “I was at speed limit, not looking at my phone…driving responsibly…60km…I lost control of the wheels and started gliding on the other side of the road, which was really dark and there was no light.”
“And I think I pressed the brakes. …The next thing I know is that this car just rolled down the embankment from the hills. I was conscious of all of this.
“(The car is) flipped, it made three volumes.”

She said she felt she was in “slow motion” during the crash.
“Time just slowed down, I was just rolling in the car. It was weird. I could hear how violent it was, but it wasn’t painful because of the airbags and the cushioning of the car.”

“This sound in my mind is like, I think it might be thanks to dancing, ‘Surrender, let your body fight with the action of the car.”
“So I let go of the steering wheel. I felt a huge sense of surrender.”

Afterwards, a dog appeared on her car hat and had a flashlight and someone helped her.
